DON'T SKIMP ON RECOVERY

It is essential to incorporate rest days and tools to help you recover, as exercise places a huge physiological stress on the body. The more intensely you are exercising, the greater the need for adequate recovery. If you are going for a run six days a week, it would be wise to go for a gentle walk instead on the Sunday for example. Here are my favourite tools for recovery after exercise:

  • Stretching
  • Using a foam roller
  • Epsom salt baths
  • Sauna/ steam room
