The importance of protein

Protein provides the building blocks for life and is absolutely essential for good health. It is needed to build, maintain and replace body tissue and is imperative to the functioning of the vital organs, the immune system, the skin and so much more. Include some protein in every meal and every snack, and choose from a variety of different sources as each protein source will have different nutrients.
